Equipment
- Grill or grill pan
- Wooden or metal skewers
- Large mixing bowl
- Small bowl (for sauce)
- Measuring Spoons
- Tongs
- Knife & cutting board
Ingredients
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
For the Bang Bang Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 to 2 teaspoons Sriracha sauce adjust to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 20 minutes to prevent burning.
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, chili powder, and onion powder. Add the chicken pieces and toss well to coat.
- Thread the seasoned chicken onto skewers, leaving small gaps between each piece for even cooking.
- Place the skewers on the hot grill. Cook for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and charred in spots. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and Sriracha to create the bang bang sauce. Adjust Sriracha to your preferred spice level.
- Once cooked, remove skewers from the grill and serve immediately with the bang bang sauce drizzled over or on the side for dipping. Garnish with chopped parsley or cilantro if desired.
Notes
- If using wooden skewers, always soak them in water first to avoid burning.
- You can bake the skewers in a 400°F oven for 12–15 minutes and broil for a crispier finish.
- The sauce also works great as a dip for veggies or spread on sandwiches.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Reheat gently in the microwave or oven before serving.
