Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds Cheese-Stuffed Ravioli Fresh or frozen
  • 1 pound Ground Beef or Italian Sausage
  • 1 medium Onion Finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 24 ounces Marinara Sauce
  • 1 cup Ricotta Cheese
  • 3 cups Mozzarella Cheese Shredded, divided
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Grated
  • 1 large Egg Beaten
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the Ravioli: Boil the ravioli as per package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  • Prepare the Meat Sauce: In a skillet, cook the meat with onions and garlic. Add marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, simmering for 10 minutes.
  • Mix the Cheeses: In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, one cup of mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, salt, and pepper.
  • Assemble the Casserole: In a 9x13 baking dish, layer half the ravioli, top with half the meat sauce, and spread half the cheese mixture. Repeat layers.
  • Bake the Casserole: Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil, sprinkle remaining mozzarella, and bake for another 10 minutes until bubbly.

Notes

  • Make ahead: Assemble the casserole up to a day ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake.
  • Freezing instructions: Freeze the unbaked casserole covered tightly for up to 2 months; thaw overnight in the refrigerator and bake as directed.
